Hi everyone,
Thank you for your patience! We were due an update but we’ve been handling production behind the scenes and was waiting to have definite news before we updated you.

As you all know, the covers of the pillows are done according to our specifications and plan. During the production of the inside mechanism in January (which should have been finalized), our founder Sylvain asked to be sent the first units to double check if they were exactly as the approved samples. Luckily he did, because when they arrived some of them had air bubbles, an issue we’ve had in the past with another manufacturer.
Even though we chose to raise our production costs by contracting one of the most reputable manufacturers we got an unacceptable result. After firm quality discussions and tests in the past two weeks, our manufacturer sorted out the issue and sent Sylvain a batch of the final units to make sure the quality is the one we’ve hoped for. The rest of the articulated arms will be finalized this month, as production resumes on February 18th, delaying shipping start by a few weeks. Again, we fully understand how frustrating the delays are, but we assure you that we are all hands on deck to get the pillows shipped to you.
It’s a process, but we are working to better ourselves! We also want to thank you for the suggestions you sent us regarding how we can improve the look of the covers. We are working on it!

Comme vous le savez tous, les housses sont réalisées conformément à nos spécifications et à notre plan. Nous les avons d’ailleurs tous reçu le 15 Janvier dernier. Cependant, lors de la production du mécanisme interne en janvier (qui aurait dû être finalisée), notre fondateur Sylvain a demandé de recevoir quelques unes des premières unités pour vérifier si elles correspondaient exactement aux échantillons approuvés. Heureusement, puisque lorsqu’ils sont arrivés, certaines membranes avaient des bulles d’air. C’est d’ailleurs un problème que nous avons eu dans le passé avec un autre fabricant et la raison principale pour laquelle nous avions changé.
Ainsi, même si nous avons choisi d'augmenter nos coûts de production en faisant appel à l'un des fabricants les plus réputés nous avons obtenu un résultat inacceptable à nos yeux. Après de longues discussions approfondies sur la qualité et des tests au cours des deux dernières semaines, notre fabricant a réglé le problème et envoyé à Sylvain un nouveau lot des unités finales afin de s’assurer que la qualité était celle que nous espérions. Les bras articulés seront finalisés ce mois-ci, avec la reprise de la production le 18 février, retardant le début des expéditions de quelques semaines. Encore une fois, nous comprenons parfaitement à quel point les retards sont frustrants, mais nous vous assurons que nous sommes tout prêt de vous livrer les oreillers.
C’est un processus, mais nous travaillons pour nous améliorer! Nous souhaitons également vous remercier pour les suggestions que vous nous avez envoyées concernant l’amélioration de l’aspect des couvertures. Nous y travaillons! Nous vous tiendrons informé aussitôt que les bras articulés seront reçus.

Hi dear backers,
Happy New Year to you. We hope you had the greatest time with your family and friends.
Here's a little update to let you know how things are moving forward. You'll be happy to know that the production will be finalized by the end of January therefore the shipments should all start by the first week of February. It will require between 7 and 25 days afterwards to be received depending on where you are located.
We'll update you again when we are about to ship!

Dear backers,
We are beyond happy to let you know that Sylvain has chosen manufacturer #2 and the order has been officially placed!? Their sample was the result we’ve been hoping for throughout all these months of back and forth in development, which caused so many unexpected delays.
We didn’t choose the easy way and, as first timers in product development, planning mistakes have been made. However, throughout all this process we had one goal: to approve production for the exact product that Sylvain has envisioned, without skimping on quality, just for the sake of delivering something. The wait wasn’t easy for us and we know for a fact it was definitely not easy for you either. We apologize for that again and we hope you’ll rest assured that you will all receive your pillows, because IT IS HAPPENING!
?NEXT STEPS: Sylvain chose the manufacturer with the biggest experience out of the ones we tested, who manufactures products for some of the big companies out there. From the moment we placed the order, this manufacturer reserved between 45-60 days to deliver the order, which means we expect the pillows to arrive in our hands mid-January, not December as we’d hoped for.
However, we will organize a shipping team and have them on stand-by, so we can start sending out the pillows as soon as they come into our warehouse. We hope that you’ll understand and support once again our decision to choose quality over speediness.
?REFUNDS: Throughout all of these months, we did everything we could to assure you of our reliability and the fact that we are in this to bring a fantastic product to life. We replied to all negative and positive comments, messages, inquiries and we issued refunds for every single backer who wanted one, no questions asked. At this time, since the final order has been placed, we won’t be able to issue any more refunds, as your pillows are currently in production.
We will never be able to thank you enough for your patience and your support, but we hope to repay you in amazing naps for you and your family. We have made friends along the way, we have laughed with you and at times, we have cried with you, heartbroken to hear some of your life stories, and the acute need of some less fortunate people for an invention like ours. You have opened our eyes to the need of comfort not only for people who travel, but also for people with disabilities. We have plans to help!❤

Here's another UPDATE on our progress:
? We have received the second sample and it is so much better than the first one! More cushion, softer, comfier, just as we hoped! Even the fingers (which were the most complex part of the cushion and the cause of all the back and forth in development in the past weeks) look just right! The sample is currently tested by the whole team, including Sylvain's family! ❤
? Next steps: the third and final sample is on its way and should arrive this week. This particular one features a smaller zipper than the first two. Afterwards, Sylvain and the team will pick the best one and give the OK for mass production!
? We're getting close to shipping and we're going above and beyond to start shipping in December. We'll keep you updated as we progress!
It's been a long journey for us and what keeps our spirits and energy up is YOU, lovely backers! Your messages, your support, your understanding, your patience.?
